How to get to Portobello Market
If travelling by Taxi ask to get out on the corner of Westbourne Grove and Portobello Road, this should only be a short ride from the west end area and only about 10 minutes from the Hyde Park area.
By Tube, the best way of all ... go to Notting Hill Gate Station and follow the crowd - yes really, you can't go wrong! The market starts about a five minute walk from the tube station.
By Bus, many buses from Victoria, Oxford Street, Hyde Park Corner and Kensington High Street come close to Portobello, buses include: 7, 12, 23, 27, 28, 31, 52, 70 & 328, the driver should let you know the right stop to take.
By car ... convenient, until you have to park! Unfortunately there is very limited street parking in the area and due to the Portobello area being so busy on a saturday, what is available is usually taken by somebody else already. After 1.30 parking restrictions are lifted and you can park on single yellow lines.
